Day 5 Boltigen White Water Rafting
Day 5, the over 12's headed Boltigen to do some white water rafting. The weather had decided that we were going to get wet regardless. We all started out for the train station and then the groups split at Speiz. Our group headed to the Boltigen water sports centre where we had a crash course in rafting that was deigned to stop us crashing. We learnt the importance of paddling in time, ducking below branches and falling gracefully out of the raft. On the way down we learned to work as a team and how to splash the other boat and stay on course. We all ended up in the water some intentionally others not. At a picnic lunch at Därstetten station all the scouts gave it a sound 8/10 or higher. Even the instructor told us that this was the best day for it they had this year.
